With Bill Murray neck-deep in controversy, different co-stars are calling him out for inappropriate behavior. Here’s what Johansson had to say.
What was Scarlett Johansson’s experience?
According to Cheatsheet, Johansson admitted that her experience onset during Lost in Translation was difficult. Johansson was all of 17 years old, playing someone older. And at many points of time during the filming process, she felt ‘out of the loop’.
Why did Johansson feel this way?
She recalled feeling this way, primarily because of Murray’s alleged eccentric personality. He was prone to drastic shifts in mood, and the young star didn’t know how to cope with them. Being an already-established big star, Murray was the center of attention on the set, which made Johansson feel a little isolated.
In an interview with the Independent, Johansson talks about how she was hyper-sexualized by the public in the early stages of her career. This might have also affected her thought process and her confidence to hold her own against Murray.
Despite all this, Scarlett Johansson has revealed that Murray and she had a natural chemistry that helped them in their work. And that they found a middle ground and worked effortlessly together once the cameras were rolling.
What are the current allegations against Bill Murray?

The Ghostbusters star has been making global headlines for different accounts of inappropriate behavior he has displayed on set over the years.
