Reportedly, the band has been secretly discussing new management and recording deals before they call it quits for forever. Little Mix formed on The X Factor in 2011, including former member Jesy Nelson, and became the first-ever group to win the competition.
Call it Quits?
After Jesy’s exit from the group, the trio has been really upfront about things with each other. There are a lot of meetings going on right now. Some of them have already signed new management deals. A source reported,
There has been a lot of speculation about the future of Little Mix but it is now very clear that the end of the road has been reached.
Considering the decision is not just about the band but also about saving individual careers, possibly, the upcoming tour would be their last and spark the end of the group next spring.
A date is set to announce the split. The upcoming tour is going to be a farewell to their fans.
The decision to go solo stems from the fact that the girls need to have a career beyond Little Mix and as such it is claimed there is no bad blood between the girls. Apparently, they support each other’s decision to go solo.
Solo Careers are Important
On November 12, Little Mix will release their first greatest hits album, Between Us, which will include four new songs. Their tour comes to an end on May 13-15 with three gigs at London's 02 Arena. They've all realized that they'll need a career outside of Little Mix, so they've put plans in place. A source claimed,
Leigh-Anne has signed up with Dua Lipa's manager, Jade is cutting her teeth as a songwriter and presenter while Perrie is working on other things too. They still get on great, despite everything which has happened with Jesy. But her departure put the cat among the pigeons.
The objective is to finish up commitments first, then move on to solo initiatives as soon as possible. The idea is to keep the band together as well, but given how One Direction ended, it's difficult to believe they'll have enough time to do everything.
