Alan Carr and Callum Heslop’s short-lived romance
In November 2023, The Sun was reporting on the fact that the comedian and the hairstylist were together. Indeed, at the time Heslop was said to be accompanying Carr on the North American leg of his tour. According to the tabloid, an unnamed source told them:
They have a really nice friendship and that has been the base for a relationship to blossom.
Now, just a couple of months later, The Sun reports that that ‘nice friendship’ has taken the forefront as the two are reportedly separated. They write:
Alan admitted he is on the lookout for someone special.
Supposedly, the comedian said:
I’m looking, I’m looking. If you know any chubby chasers, let me know.
Alan Carr’s tumultuous love life
The announcement of Carr and Heslop’s relationship came two years after the comedian’s mediatised divorce from Paul Drayton.
In January 2022, the two released a joint statement saying:
After 13 years as a couple and three years of marriage, Alan Carr and Paul Drayton would like to announce they are separating.
They have jointly and amicably made the difficult decision to divorce and go their separate ways.
However, in an interview in The Guardian in 2023, Alan divulged that he and his partner had their troubles. One was Drayton’s alcoholism. In the interview he said that his husband’s drinking had become ‘too much’.
