Alesha Dixon’s BGT salary
Alesha Dixon’s BGT salary is a bit of a conflicted issue. Reportedly, when David Walliams was a judge on the show, he earned £1.5 million per episode, which was nearly four times Alesha’s BGT salary. Simon Cowell, who is also the executive producer and creator of the show, then raised her salary to reported six-figure sum of £850,000.
After former Strictly Come Dancing’s Bruno Tonioli replaced David Williams, Alesha was left furious to learn that he was making the same amount as her. BGT’s two female judges - Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden - raised their voices against the discrimination. A source told The Sun:
Amanda has been on BGT for 17 years, while Alesha is going into her eleventh year. They don’t think it’s fair a newcomer could walk into the show and be handed the same deal as them.
Alesha and Amanda refused to sign their 2023 BGT contracts after the salary revelation. The source added:
Amanda and Alesha won’t be signing their contracts until they’ve had their issues over pay addressed.
After learning that Bruno was to be getting the same pay, they decided to hold off and stand firm.
Hello Magazine reports that after Alesha and Amanda’s conflict, Bruno’s pay was decreased but the amount has not yet been revealed.
