I had never been this kind of sick. It felt like an elephant was sitting on my chest. I couldn’t breathe. I couldn’t keep food in me. I lost 9 pounds in 2 weeks. I was confused. Low grade fever. And the headaches were horrible.
On August 9, the actress posted a video on her Instagram account in which she revealed one of the consequences of this virus on her body.
As you can see in her video, the star suffered significant hair loss since she contracted the virus. The video is extremely telling: as she brushes her hair, Milano shows off large clumps that have fallen out as a result of the virus. Hence her preventive message:
Thought I’d show you what #Covid19 does to your hair. Please take this seriously. #WearADamnMask #LongHauler
Milano also told her followers that she is one of the ‘long haulers’ among coronavirus sufferers, meaning that some of her symptoms last a very long time:
I still have many symptoms. I am what they call a “long hauler”. Last night, I had real heaviness in my chest. I went to the ER just to make sure it wasn’t a blood clot. Thankfully, it wasn’t. This virus sucks. Please take it seriously.
