Who is Annie Shephard? Ben Shephard’s wife
Ben met Annie in his early 20s when they were both students at Birmingham University and the two have been together ever since. The couple tied the knot in 2004 and have two kids together. Speaking on White Wine Question Time, Kate Thornton's podcast, Ben revealed:
We met at university - so you knew Annie when I just got into the telly. I was sort of a mere puppy when it came to the world of broadcasting media.
She has been through all this with me - the highs and the lows of all that experience.
And she is still here, somehow is still putting up with me which to this day, I can't quite believe that I am extraordinarily lucky.
Evoke reported, the two got married in a lavish, intimate ceremony on a private Island off the coast of Devon with only closest friends and family. Ben remains notoriously tight-lipped about his private life but often shares pictures of his beautiful family. He has two kids Sam, 17 and Jack, 15. They all live in a charming home in Richmond, South West London.
What does Annie do?
Annie previously worked as a writer across fashion and interior titles including Glamour, House and Garden, Red and Elle Deco, confirmed Metro.co.uk. She now runs the website The House Editor, helping people design their homes and gardens. She explained on the site:
For the last fifteen years I’ve been raising our boys, knocking down and remodelling houses, building gardens out of mud-pits and running interiors projects.
I’ve studied hard and taken excellent courses, so I’ve learned both the theory of design and I’ve also learned the hard way, by creating from the ground up, wellies on and spade in hand.
