As a college freshman, this can cause issues when it comes to making friends. That being said, according to several sources, the young man has found a way to connect with his fellow students.
Barron Trump can’t give out his phone number
Reports have claimed that Barron Trump isn’t allowed to give out his phone number for security reasons. Indeed, as his parents are the current President and First Lady, the young man could be made a target.
As a result, the 19-year-old is constantly surrounded by Secret Service while attending university. An unnamed source told Page Six that if Barron shared his number, it would ‘create more trouble than it’s worth’.
They explained:
If people get the number, they would give it out and then a million people would be calling non-stop. You’d have to change the number constantly and it’d become a merry-go-round.
Similarly, Barron spends little time on campus, and when he is, he’s constantly surrounded by security. Despite his status in life, it appears as though Barron has found a way to connect with his peers: gaming.
Barron Trump allegedly uses Discord
Per TMZ, Barron Trump uses Discord, a popular platform amongst gamers, to communicate with his fellow students. The magazine allegedly spoke with NYU students, who described Trump as ‘chill’ and friendly when around others, some sources have even described the young man as an 'old soul'.
Moreover, it has been said that Barron will ask fellow students for their Discord names to connect with them outside of campus. According to TMZ, one of Trump’s favourite games is FIFA.
Page Six also reports that the young man uses Xbox to chat with his peers. Indeed, Xbox allows users to text message and voice call with others.
A source claimed he only asks for the gamer tags of people he knows:
It’s gamer bro culture, they ask each other for their gamer tag. He knows the people
It’s his workaround. He’s still troubleshooting.
It isn’t surprising to find out that Barron enjoys gaming, as President Trump had commented on it during his campaign. When Trump sat down for a chat with Adin Ross, a 24-year-old streamer, the President revealed that his youngest son was a big fan.
