On Tuesday, 5 November 2024, Donald Trump was elected as the 47th President of the United States. During his election campaign, Trump's family rallied behind him—including the youngest of his children, Barron Trump.

Since Barron Trump has always stayed away from the limelight, he remains a mysterious figure for many Americans. Now that he's 18 and in college, the spotlight on him is shining brighter than ever, with many curious to get an insight into his thoughts on his father's views and actions.

Claim: Barron Trump's college-mates believe he is politically neutral

To try to understand the tallest of the Trumps, several people looked in the direction of his college-mates.

Most recently, a handful of media have reported Barron Trump's response when asked about his political views. According to these reports, his classmates at Stern School of Business have revealed that Barron Trump has a very diplomatic stance whenever someone wants to engage in a heated debate with him over his father's political views. The 18-year-old allegedly claims that he 'doesn't support any party'.

While several reports have been published about his supposed stance, including Daily Mail, Mirror, amongst others, the source behind this crucial piece of information remains unknown and unverified. Very little context has also been provided, and hence it should be taken with a pinch of salt.

Moreover, the very fact that he is the son of Donald Trump, and voted for him, as publicised by his mother Melania Trump, solidifies his very personal connection to the Republican party.

Barron Trump's active role in his father's campaign

To add to that, Barron was very-closely watched during his father's 2024 presidential campaign—especially given his recent graduation and enrollment into NYU.

His father mentioned him on several occasions in various podcasts and speeches, and he was propelled into the spotlight as soon as he stepped foot into his university.

It has even been reported that Barron Trump was essential in helping his father expand his voter base within Gen Z as he helped his father get as many votes as possible from young men.

While he was courting these young male voters, Donald Trump reportedly asked his youngest son for advice on how to get to them. Barron Trump is said to have advised his father on which podcasts he should appear on. The podcasters Donald Trump chose happened to support his MAGA movement, and the Republican Party in general.

Donald Trump's campaign senior adviser Jason Miller appeared on Politico's Playbook Deep Dive podcast, during which he gave his view on Barron Trump's involvement in his father's campaign, saying:

Barron has been very involved in recommending a number of the podcasts that we should do. I got to tell you, hats off to the young man. Every single recommendation he’s had has turned out to be absolute ratings gold that’s broke the internet.
