Barron - who allegedly wants to go to NYU - recently graduated from exclusive Oxbridge Academy. His father, Donald Trump, took a leave of absence from his then ongoing hush money trial to travel to Florida on May 17 to see his son graduate - something that made others at the graduation ‘super excited.’ With Secret Service all around to an extraordinary high school experience, here’s how Barron navigated his school life at Oxbridge Academy according to an alleged friend of his.
Barron Trump’s life at Oxbridge Academy
Barron enrolled at Oxbridge in 2021 when his parents moved full-time to Mar-a-Lago and stayed there for 3 years. Melania - a very protective parent who may even not be a full-time First Lady for Barron’s sake - ensured that her son remained out of the limelight while completing his studies.
It was on her request that Barron be forbidden from appearing in any social media posts. He was the only student to have no mention in the school’s Resonate yearbook.
His former classmates remember Barron as a ‘charming, impeccably behaved student, funny and sociable’ who had a great interest in soccer and enjoyed the video game Clash of Clans. Despite studying with him, many found he was mysterious as he never participated in sports, attended parties or even school dances. A friend told MailOnline:
He would start the most random conversations and could be very entertaining. He was also very mysterious. He never attended football games or dances. I don’t think he met up with anyone outside of school or went on dates.
Speaking of having a girlfriend(s), the unnamed source insisted there was no sign of him ever having a girlfriend. They said:
If he had a girlfriend, it was top secret we never knew about it.
What’s more? Reportedly, Barron never ate meals with the rest of the school despite the lavish buffet with ‘American food, Asian and Indian food’ including ‘a salad bar and a fruit bar’. The insider said:
Barron always went to the lunchroom to sit with his friends but he never ate any lunch. He never specifically said why, just that he would wait until he got home to eat. It was a little unusual.
According to the insider, Barron’s social life was independent of school and only included very few of his peers. He was out of most of the social and cultural activities that took place during the three years he was at Oxbridge. Talking about his overall school-going experience, the insider said:
I’m sure he had fun in his own way but it was a bit of a shame that he didn’t get to have a normal high school life like everyone else.
How did Oxbridge Academy adjust to Barron Trump’s presence?
It is understood that many parents had concerns that the school could become a target but thanks to the presence of the Secret Service everywhere, they were at ease. The publication reports that Barron was completely shadowed by the Secret Service in the school even when he had to go to the washroom.
Barron did most of his work online but whenever he attended school in person, he would be accompanied by his Secret Service SUV and he had ‘multiple agents who would rotate throughout the day.’ The insider explained:
The agents would stand right outside the door during class. If he went to the bathroom they would go with him and wait outside.
Interestingly, he was registered in the school under the alias Jack but everyone knew who he was. The alias was only created to ensure no one could hack school computers to assess his personal data or school grades. Moreover, the staff at the school had to sign NDAs to ensure nothing ever leaked about Barron’s presence at Oxbridge.
When a nearby 911 incident at Publix supermarket sent the school into a lockdown a Secret Service agent burst into the classroom to keep Barron safe until the threat receded.
