At first, it was suggested that Barron would follow in his father’s footsteps and attend Pennsylvania University's Wharton School but in the end, Barron decided to enrol at New York University (NYU).

As expected, other NYU students have reacted to the news that Barron Trump will be attending the same university as them, and their reactions are interesting, to say the least.

Donald Trump revealed Barron is attending NYU

As reported by Daily Mail, Barron Trump, whose friend allegedly revealed what his high school experience was like, graduated from high school in May 2024 from Palm Beach's prestigious Oxbridge Academy. As mentioned above, Donald Trump previously said that his son was considering attending his former university in Pennsylvania, but chose NYU.

The former president told Daily Mail that Barron ‘liked the school’ (NYU). He also added that he has known NYU for a ‘long time’ and it is ‘one of the highest rated’.

It's a very high quality place. He liked it. He liked the school. I went to Wharton, and that was certainly one that we were considering. We didn't do that. We went for Stern.

Donald Trump is clearly proud of his son and has described him as a ‘high aptitude child’ and said ‘he’s doing great’.

Barron Trump was recently spotted on campus, and a few of his schoolmates have now reacted to the revelation.

NYE students react to Barron Trump attending NYU

On Instagram, the Daily Mail shared a video of an interviewer asking fellow NYU students what they think about Barron Trump attending the same university as them.

Some of the reactions are quite funny—one girl revealed that her ‘mom is going to want me to marry him’. The same student explained that she ‘feels bad for him’ as he didn’t choose this life.

Another NYU student said that she wouldn’t judge Barron as he isn’t his father:

His dad is his dad, he’s his own person. So I’m not going to judge.

Another student speculated on Barron’s future love life, explaining that if he’s interested in girls ‘he’s gonna become kinda liberal’.

He's going to NYU, if he's at all interested in girls, he's gonna become kinda liberal, I'm gonna tell you that.

The interviewer also asked the student if they would be friends with Barron, one replied ‘absolutely not’, while the same student who said she wouldn’t judge Barron said ‘of course’.

Of course, who doesn’t want to be friends with a Trump.

The interviewer, Brooklyn, commented on Daily Mail’s post, explaining that most of the reactions were ‘positive’.

I'm the reporter in this vid and everyone I talked to today was mostly pretty positive about having Barron as a classmate 😄
