Sally missing once again
After an extended holiday,Sally Nugent made her return to BBC Breakfast. She had been off air since hosting on New Year's Day. She was in the Maldives during this time and made sure to share the stunning visuals with her fans stating:
Home from a dreamy holiday and excited to get back to work
However, she was once again absent from the show on Monday which spread a wave of concern across the internet and more specifically X. Some viewers wondered what this meant while others speculated on the reason behind this:

Sally has had a hard few months
This isn’t the first time Sally Nugent was absent from the show as she took part in Strictly Come Dancing’s special Christmas episode in December. She posted photos from the set captioning them:
I was in need of a little pick me up when the lovely people at Strictly called.
The reason behind this caption was a split from her husband Gavin Hawthorn in May of 2023. They were reportedly married for 13 years and have a son together. Sally has always kept her private life close to her chest.The Daily Mail reported that she was devastated after the split when he had to move out of their £1.4 Cheshire home. The Daily Mail quotes a friend of theirs who stated:
They've both been very guarded about the reasons behind their growing apart but it's been plain for a while that they had been and now it's obvious that they haven't been able to resolve that despite clearly trying for some time.
