Maddy Anholt passed away at the age of 35 due to brain cancer
Maddy Anholt was reportedly diagnosed with the rare form of cancer after the birth of her daughter Opal last year. The Women’s Aid ambassador was a philanthropic at heart who wrote books on domestic violence and toxic relationships.
The star’s family disclosed the news of her death in a GoFundMe post late last night. They said:
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of Maddy Anholt, our beloved daughter, sister, twin, friend, wife and mother, who left this world on Wednesday 13th September, aged 35.
You may know that shortly after the birth of her incredible daughter Opal last year, Maddy was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of brain cancer.
They added:
She handled the ensuing surgery and treatment with astonishing grace and courage, accompanied every step of the way by her family and devoted husband, Ben.
She spent her final weeks at her parents’ home, Sunflower House, bathed in love and calm, and with the sounds of nature all around.
Maddy was a marathon runner, author, speaker and actor who put her heart into everything that she did. She wrote her debut book - How to Leave Your Psychopath: The Essential Handbook for Escaping Toxic Relationships - was released last year where she shared her plight of being in an abusive relationship.

Her family has invited friends, family and well-wishers to light candles, pray and meditate for the departed soul on September 16, at 6 PM BST. Additionally, a new fundraiser has been made for her one-year-old daughter Opal.

As soon as the news of Maddy’s death and her condition came out, many fans across the country were left devastated. Many took to Twitter and wrote:
