Yahoo! Entertainment writes, he’s one of the frontrunners to replace Phillip on This Morning.
The 49-year-old presenter is estimated to have a net worth of a whopping $5 million, roughly £3.6 million. According to OK! Magazine, Ben has now been offered a big-money contract to be the permanent host of This Morning.
Reportedly, he is rumoured to be taking home £550K per year for presenting This Morning which will only further add to his net worth. Ben impressed ITV bosses years ago when he covered for Phil between 2005 and 2011.
Ben Shephard's TV career so far - from popular shows to lesser-known projects
Ben has been a regular on British television for over two decades. His career graph is indeed very colourful, having presented shows like The Xtra Factor, GMTV and Goals on Sunday. Although, he’s best known for his much more popular TV gigs - Good Morning Britain, Tipping Point and co-hosting Ninja Warrior UK.
The multi-millionaire TV star is on an accelerating career graph at this point. His big break came in 1998 when he hosted Channel 4’s spin-off show The Bigger Breakfast with Melanie Sykes and fellow ITV star Dermot O’Leary. Later that year, he took over T4's teen strand on Channel 4. In his impressive career of nearly 25 years, Ben has worked alongside Susanna Reid, Kate Garraway and Charlotte Hawkins.
Apart from TV gigs, Ben has also starred in four films - one of which will be a big surprise for you. In 2009, Ben played Diagon Alley Father in the popular Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. However, his role remained uncredited and thus, lesser-known to the world. His other three film roles are - a carol singer in A Bear's Christmas Tail (2004), The Lego Ninjago Movie (2017) and a newsreader in SAS: Red Notice (2021).
What’s more? He also had a guest role in an episode of F.R.I.E.N.D.S in 2002 where he played a man holding a microphone for Joey’s big movie release.
