Jenkin is a mystery to many BB UK housemates who feel like he’s rarely seen on TV or ever takes part in the activities of the show. Meanwhile, many Big Brother: Late and Live guests have insisted that he’s more involved than the others as he keeps on observing the housemates from afar. In the 3 evictions so, Jenkins has always nominated the person who eventually gets evicted from the show hinting he’s the viewers’ eye in the house.
Who is Jenkin?
The 25-year-old Barman was born in Bridgend, South Wales. His friends and family describe him as ‘loud, messy and irritating,’ but viewers are yet to see that side of him. He was the first housemate to step in the house on launch night and ironically the only housemate who had a difficult start to his journey on the show.
On day 1 itself, his luggage was blown up and he had his supply of hot water cut off. Seeing him go through a horrific experience, fans were tolerant of his ‘cynical’ attitude. However, even after receiving back his clothes and getting the same experience as other housemates, Jenkin is often seen struggling on the show. He cribs and moans about a lot of things in the house - so much so - that it led fans to believe he would self-evict. Jenkin mostly spends time sitting by himself or with his fellow Welsh housemate - Chanelle instead of mingling with the house.
Why did Jenkin sign up for Big Brother and who is his A-list connection?
Seeing how ‘miserable’ he stays in the house, many fans have questioned his intentions of being on Big Brother. Big Brother is the ultimate social experiment that is considered to be a once in a lifetime experience, but Jenkin doesn’t appear to feel that.
According to Cosmopolitan UK, Jenkin casually signed up for the show because he was ‘bored’ and thought he'd ‘give it a whirl.’ Asked what he's most looking forward to, Jenkin said:
I think meeting new people. I'm looking forward to it but I'm also dreading it as well because I'm like, 'Oh, how is this gonna go...' but it will be fine.
Jenkin also revealed on the show that he’s related to Sir Philip Anthony Hopkins CBE - a prolific Welsh actor, director, and producer.
