Billy Joel’s music career
Billy began his music career playing at a piano bar to help his mother make ends meet. He was later signed by Columbia Records. Joel released a successful debut in 1973 titled Piano Man. The song was a top 20 single, first gold album and would go on to define his career as the final song of every setlist.
