A video without filters
On April 20, the 'Juice' singer posted a new video on her Instagram account. In this video, the Lizzo can be seen looking completely fresh-faced and all-natural. With her hair in an updo, she twerks in front of her phone's camera while wearing a skimpy outfit.
Lizzo also posed for a photo, dressed in a simple black lace bodysuit, showing off her booty once again. The caption reads:
Focus on a body part u don't like about yourself and show it some love today. This quarantine has a lot of people suffering from mental health issues because we can't get out and do our normal coping/self care routines.... Self-hatred was starting to creep up on me but I gotta remember I'm 110% that bitch love you!
A controversial post
This inspiring post greatly pleased her community, but it also made some followers react negatively. As usual, Lizzo triggered a debate in the comments section.
While some people found the video too daring and inappropriate, others did not hesitate to show their support:
This message is incredible. Lizzo never said you had to be thin or big. She said LOVE YOURSELF. (...) Loving yourself is always healthier than hating yourself.
