On Wednesday night’s episode of Love Island, we saw 25-year-old labourer Brad McLelland sacrifice his place in the villa for Lucinda after the pair were voted the least compatible coupling. Now, he’s flown back from Majorca and gone home to Amble—where he’s been reunited with his nan.

Taking to Instagram at lunchtime on Friday, Brad shared an adorable photograph with his arm round his grandmother sitting on a chair in her garden. Tagging the location as Amble, Northumberland, Brad captioned the snap:
Well I’m back and reunited with me Nana!
In just 20 minutes, the heart-warming picture had already amassed over 22,000 likes from Brad’s followers. One fan commented: Awww bless look at her! Beautiful 😊’ while another said: ‘Brad you are everyone’s winner!!! We all love you!! So lovely to see your beautiful nana after hearing all about her.’
Earlier in the day, Brad had broken his social media silence by sharing an Instagram story from his car in which he told his followers:
I just want to do a quick message to say thanks everyone that showed 'us support on the show. It's been an absolute blast and I hope I've made you’s all proud.
Brad McLelland returns to the UK
Brad has made it back to the UK just in time. Anybody returning from Majorca from Monday onwards will be forced to quarantine (unless they’ve been fully vaccinated in the UK) as the Balearic Islands are moved to the COVID amber list. As it is, we’re looking forward to hopefully seeing both Brad and Rachel Finni on Aftersun this Sunday...
