Brigitte Macron, born Trogneux, was bornon 13 April 1953 in Amiens, in the north of France. She comes from a family of renowned Amiens chocolatiers.
The current First Lady was brought up in a Catholic environment. In fact, she was educated at a private Sacré-Coeur high school in Amiens, run by nuns.
Brigitte Marie-Claude Trogneux had a brilliant career in education before taking on the role of First Lady.
Brigitte Macron began her professional life as a teacher of French, Latin and literature in several high schools in the Amiens area, such as La Providence.
She has also worked as an educational consultant for the Amiens academic inspectorate.

In addition to her teaching career, Brigitte Macron has also tried her hand at politics.
Alongside her teaching career, Brigitte Macron raised her three children from her first marriage.
Before marrying Emmanuel Macron in 2007, whom she had met when he was her student at the La Providence high school in Amiens.
An unconventional relationship that continues to make the head of state's opponents cringe. She told Paris Match in 2023: 'It was a mess in my head. At the time of my father's death, I was caught up in an internal hurricane. For me, a boy so young, it was prohibitive.'

After Emmanuel Macron was elected President of the French Republic in 2017, Brigitte Macron became the First Lady.
She explained: 'The only obstacle was my children. I took time not to ruin their lives. It took ten years to get them on track. You can imagine what they heard... But I didn't want to miss out on my life. I don't know how my parents, who were the example of fidelity and education, would have lived through our marriage.'
And while the 70-year-old puts the spotlight on French fashion, she has a special history with Louis Vuitton, which she wears most of the time.
Indeed, as revealed by Capital.fr, Brigitte Macron was the French teacher of Frédéric and Jean, the two sons of Bernard Arnault, the boss of the LVMH group, whose daughter, Delphine Arnault, is deputy CEO of the Louis Vuitton fashion house.
