As a new series of Love Island begins and a new cast of Islanders start getting to know each other, it’s worth remembering that some couples who met on the show really are living a happily-ever-after. Camilla Thurlow and Jamie Jewitt—who met on series 3—are one of those couples. Over the last year, they’ve welcomed their first child and gotten engaged.

Camilla and Jamie’s happily ever after
So did Camilla think back then that she and Jamie would end up engaged with a baby? In an interview with Tyla this week, she admitted:
I mean, I never really thought that far ahead when I was on Love Island. It didn't even cross my mind when I was on the show. But obviously, I appreciate how incredibly lucky I've been now.
Like many new parents over the last year and a half, Camilla and Jamie had the extra challenge of welcoming their first child in the midst of a global pandemic. Despite all the difficulties this brought, Camilla has a positive outlook, saying:
We've always loved just being in together anyway. It was nice for us just to focus on the pregnancy together.
#LoveDon’tJudge
In the same interview, Camilla opened up about receiving criticism of her parenting from some of her followers. She recently admitted that she had received judgementalmessages from some of her followers about the fact her eight-month-old daughter Nell wasn’t yet sleeping through the night.
She said:
Becoming a mother is so overwhelming. We're all trying to be the best we can be for our babies. What works for one family might not work for someone else. It's so important that we're able to speak to other parents without casting judgement, because these judgements can have a real effect.
