Honey Boo Boo - real name Alana Thompson - shot to fame on TLC's Toddlers in Tiaras. She was so popular that she was given her own spin-off series - Here Comes Honey Boo Boo - which ran from 2012 to 2014.

She came out with some classic lines like 'If you fart 12 to 15 times a day you can lose a lot of weight.'
We also loved her for her heartand her progressive attitudes - 'Ain't nothing wrong with bein' a little gay.' - which defied 'red-neck' stereotypes.
Family problems
Alana's parents June and Mike 'Sugar Bear' Thompson split in 2015 and June has claimed that he subjected her to physical and emotional abuse.
June has also claimed that Mike has a 'non-existent' relationship with Alana but Mike claims that this is all false and that June is stopping him from seeing his daughter.

Four years after Here Comes Honey Boo Boo ended, Alana has been snapped at a press event with her mum June and she's grown up so much!
Apparently Honey Boo Boo and Mama June have signed up for a mother-daughter beauty pageant so it looks like she's getting back in the game after a brief hiatus. For Mama June it's partly to help motivate her weight loss - so it's great to see her daughter supporting her mum.
