On 7 April 2025, the latest series of Celebrity Big Brother (CBB) aired on ITV. It is the second celebrity series to air on ITV, but the show has been on television since 2001, with a few years’ break between 2018 and 2024.

Even though the first episode of CBB aired only a few days ago, there is already a lot of drama inside the house. One celebrity received an official warning concerning their language, and a major security breach locked the housemates inside.
Here's the latest on the show!
Mickey Rourke making a bad first impression
One of this year’s contestants is Mickey Rourke, actor and former boxer. Mickey has already made an impression on viewers — potentially not in the best way.
Indeed, the actor was ‘slammed’ online for his ‘creepy behaviour’ on the opening night of the new series. Rourke was seen checking out AJ Odudu and then grabbed her by the waist and spun her in a circle.
AJ Odudu appeared uncomfortable during the encounter and even told Rourke to ‘stop looking at me’. The CBB host then directed Mickey towards the door. As he is walking away, Rourke can be heard saying, ‘No, I want to stay with you’, as reported by Daily Mail.
Mickey Rourke could be evicted early
This isn’t the only issue Mickey has caused so far in the series — and it hasn’t even been a week yet. As reported by Mirror, Rourke was asking Siwa about her sexuality and asked if she was into boys or girls.
The young singer explained that her partner is non-binary, and Mickey responded:
If I stay longer than four days, you won’t be gay anymore.
He then said that he was ‘going to vote the lesbian out real quick’. Jojo stood up for herself, calling out Rourke’s language as homophobic, with Chris backing her up, explaining to Rourke that he can’t say that.
However, it doesn’t end there. Rourke asked Siwa where the smoking area is, saying he ‘needs a f*g’. He then looked at the singer, saying, ‘I’m not talking to you’. Chris quickly called out the actor once again, telling him he can’t say that. Rourke simply responded:
I know. I was talking about a cigarette.
Following the several remarks made by Mickey, he was called into the Diary Room and given a stern warning from the show’s bosses. The actor was then told that if his offensive language continues, he will be removed from the Big Brother House.
The celebrities go into lockdown over security breach
The drama doesn’t stop there for the show’s first week. Per The Sun, the celebrities were forced into a lockdown after a drone was spotted in the garden and tried to land on the grass.
At the time, Mickey Rourke and former MP Michael Fabricant were outside. Michael was the first to spot the drone. After that, the celebrities were all told to go inside the house, the doors were locked and the blinds shut.
According to the tabloid, the lockdown lasted hours. A source said:
It was a major security breach. Flying a drone over the house is one thing, but to be able to as good as land it in the garden metres away from the stars is terrifying.
