Celine Dion, who is battling rare disease, shocks fans with huge announcement: 'I just cried'

Today, April 13, Celine Dion's fans were met with an announcement that made them smile. The superstar has not been on stage for more than a year by now as she suffers from a rare diseasecalled SPS. This disease causes her a lot of pain, which is why she could not perform her famous highly-energetic shows.

Despite this very rare disease, the Canadian artist is doing everything she can to remain close to her very dedicated fans, mostly through her social media, and she gave them a nice surprise.

Celine Dion surprises her fans despite rare illness

For more than a year now, Celine Dion has been unwell, and has had to cancel several of her concerts. In October 2021, the singer had told her fans she needed to put her health first and cancel her shows. She said 'I must focus on my health to get better quickly.'

The superstar's health condition is believed to remain the same today, as she has not come back on stage yet. A lot of people speculated about Celine Dion's illness, and she clarified the situation by revealing she actually suffers from Stiff-person syndrome (SPS) which is a disease that causes muscle spasms and severe pain.

Celine Dion isreportedly going through hell, and her illness prevents her from living a normal life. In December 2022, Celine Dion took to her YouTube channel to explain her daily life to her fans.

I sometimes have a lot of difficulty walking and I can't always use my vocal cords to sing as I would like.

Celine Dion refuses to give up and is currently trying an experimental treatment to beat the disease. If she remains discreet about the evil that eats away at her, the singer of 'I'm Alive' has not abandoned her fans, quite the contrary. On Thursday, April 13, she returned on Instagram with great news!

Celine Dion fans touched by her new music

On Thursday, April 13, Celine Dion released a brand new song, entitled Love Again. The song was composed for the romantic comedy Love Again, which will be released in theaters on May 5. The Quebec singer is in the cast of this feature film and will play... her own role! She will play alongside Priyanka Chopra (Quantico) and Sam Heughan (Outlander).

If we have to keep being patient to see Celine Dion on stage again, her fans are happy to hear her voice again. Comments on her Twitter post include people saying the song is beautiful, and that they are very happy to hear her voice again.
