Since 13 October 2023, rumours about the state of Chloe Madeley and James Haskell’s marriage have been circulating. It all started when Haskell was seen whispering into a woman’s ear at 1.30am outside a pub.

Since then, both have been seen out and about without their wedding rings. Moreover, tabloids have been finding and using old interviews of the couple in order to try and piece things together.

Chloe Madeley and James Haskell get married
Chloe Madeley is the daughter of TV presenters Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan and works as a personal trainer as well as a ‘reality TV personality’. James Haskell is a former rugby player.
The couple got married in 2018 after meeting in 2014. They had a daughter in 2022.

In October 2023, the couple’s reality TV show, Chloe Madeley: A Family Affair, started airing. On Apple TV the show is described as such:
Cloe Madeley - a daughter of Tv royalty and wife of ex-England rugby player James Haskell - opens the door to her life as she juggles work, first-time motherhood, and her famous family.
In the latest episode of the show, it appears that viewers can get a glimpse into the couple’s marital issues. Mirror reports on 23 October that ‘the couple fumed at each other’. There's more: the publication writes that Chloe was seen telling her husband:
I swear to god the reason you got voted out of I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here is because of your big fat fingers. You got so frustrated that you yelled at Ant and Dec. That's where you lost the viewers and you lost Ant and Dec, and this is literally our marriage. That scene is our marriage.
You getting frustrated about something that is f*** all to do with me and then yelling at me thinking it is my fault because I am the closest person to you at this time.
This is why I want to kill you, which is what we were talking about earlier.
This episode aired as rumours about the couple splitting are going strong.
James Haskell seen talking to a woman
As we’ve already stated, Haskell was seen whispering into a woman’s ear on 13 October. Since then, both Madeley and Haskell have been seen without their wedding rings.
It should however be noted that Haskell has denied that anything happened with the woman he was talking to. A source told The Sun:
The woman pictured is a friend of James’s group who he just met that night (...) They were simply having a conversation outside so there is nothing to this.
However, ten days after the whispering incident, Haskell was seen in Paris without his ring.
Madeley and Haskell accused of launching divorce rumours for publicity
The timing of those divorce rumours is raising eyebrows. On 20 October, an unnamed source speaking to Mail Online said:
Taking their wedding rings off because James was seen talking to a woman seems like a huge over reaction, especially when they have made a television programme about how strong their marriage is.
They allow one another to live their lives. Why would you take your rings off just because James was talking to a woman outside a nightclub.
The country has been talking about it since, and neither have done anything to shut the story down.
And let’s face it, celebrities usually do all they can to shroud any kind of relationship troubles in secrecy.
Maybe that changes when you have a television show on the airwaves.
MailOnline also specified that Medeley has been described in the past as ‘media savvy’ which could also explain the timing of those rumours.
So far both parties have failed to comment and only more rumours are circulating, including some about Richard Madeley potentially having ‘words’ with his son in law.
