Clint Eastwood’s partner’s cause of death has been announced
As per Express, Clint Eastwood’s partner, Christina Sandera died of a heart attack. A representative from the Monterey County Health Department confirmed the cause to the New York Post.
On Sandera’s death certificate, the immediate cause of her passing was listed as cardiac arrhythmia, which causes a person’s heart to beat either too slowly, too quickly or irregularly. Moreover, atherosclerotic coronary artery diseasewas also listed as anadditional condition leading to her death.
Atherosclerotic coronary artery disease is a condition where plaques made of fat, cholesterol, calcium and other substances gather in artery walls. When these plaques burst, it can cause blood clots.

A look into Clint Eastwood and Christina Sandera’s 10-year relationship
As per People, Clint Eastwood and Christina Sandera allegedly met when Sandera was working at the Oscar-winning actor’s property, the Mission Ranch Hotel in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California. Eastwood and Sandera had a 13-year age gap, but that didn’t stop the romance from blossoming.
The two started dating in 2014, following two failed marriages by Clint Eastwood. As reported by People, Christina made her debut on the red carpet alongside Eastwood in 2015 at the Oscars, where her partner’s film American Sniper was nominated for six awards. This was their first public appearance as a couple.
Before their first red carpet, the couple had been photographed grocery shopping together a year prior by the Daily Mail. Despite being in a relationship with a household name, Christina was a very private person.
Nonetheless, Sandera still supported her partner and attended many red carpets by his side, including in 2016 for the screening of Eastwood's film Sully at the Directors Guild of America and in 2017 at the Cannes Film Festival.
Christina Sandera seemed to have a good relationship with Clint Eastwood’s children, as per People. Indeed, the actor has 8 children from previous relationships and they all reportedly welcomed Christina.
In 2018, Sandera joined Clint Eastwood and his entire family, which included three of his children, his granddaughter and Eastwood's first wife, at the premiere of his film The Mule. In 2020, Eastwood’s son, Scott shared that they were all planning to celebrate his father’s 90th birthday.
As per People, he told Access Hollywood:
We're going to do just a family thing. Very calm, very mellow. He doesn't like birthdays. He's just sort of like, 'I don't want to do birthdays ... We'll sneak a cake in there, definitely. He probably won't like it, but we'll put one in.
