In it, Maura wrote: 'Curtis and I have made the decision to separate. We enjoyed a great experience from our time in the villa and want to thank everyone for supporting our relationship. There is no easy way to get through a breakup and no bad feeling on either side. We tried to make it work, but it wasn’t meant to be and I wish Curtis nothing but the best for the future.’
From their shock coupling in the villa to adjusting to life on the outside, Curtis and Maura's relationship had a bumpy ride. They were said to have had a huge bust-up at the National Television Awards in January after Curtis reportedly bragged that they'd only gotten a joint presenting job because of him.
The couple were also hit by cheating rumours last year, when Curtis was pictured getting close to another woman - though he rubbished the claims, saying it was just a friendly hug.
Nevertheless, the news that Curtis and Maura are splitting comes just weeks after he posted a gushing Valentine's message about her on Instagram, calling her 'little button nose' and an 'incredible person'.

The only Love Island 2019 couple now still together are runners-up Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague. Heartbreaking.
