Thanks to Danielle’s tear-jerking performance, she won Serial Drama Performance at the National Television Awards as well as winning Best Actress at the Inside Soap Awards, both in 2023. Harold also won Best Leading Performer at the British Soap Awards, also in 2023.

After filming Lola’s storyline, Danielle is keen to do whatever she can to help raise money for the fight against cancer.

She will throw herself into the show and hopefully stay hidden long enough to beat the Hunters.
Danielle Harold has spoken about her character’s storyline and how it impacted her. She revealed that the storyline had made it hard for her to ‘let go’ after work:
It’s hard to let go and shut off after filming. It’s really intense and sad.
It makes you realise how grateful you are to be healthy and to appreciate life even more.
She then explained that she receives messages from people telling her that Lola’s storyline urged them to get checked:
I’ve had so many messages from people saying that they’ve only gone to get checked out because of Lola’s storyline and they’ve caught the tumour early.
