The TV chef was diagnosed with cancer in 2022. As reported by Metro, Dave Myers had specific wishes for his funeral. Indeed, he had requested everyone attending have ‘vodka martinis’ before the service to ‘get everyone loosened up’. Myers had also requested his coffin be carried to the song ‘The Best is Yet to Come’ by The Scorpions

Dave Myers has a fortune worth £1.4M
According to Daily Mail, Dave Myers had an overall fortune worth almost £1.5M. Much of his money came from his TV work alongside fellow Hairy Biker, Si King. Indeed, Myers owned Hairy Bikers Television with Simon King, which was worth a massive £92,000.
The TV chef also owned a company with his wife, Liliana Orzac. Dave and Liliana co-owned Dave’s production company, Sharpletter, which was worth £1.4M. As per Daily Mail, Sharpletter made a profit of £200,000.
Not only did Dave Myers co-own two companies, he also published several cookbooks with Simon King, from perfect pies to veggie feasts, one-pot wonders and comfort food. The Hairy Bikers' Great Curries is currently a bestseller on Amazon and has received great reviews from the Great British Food Magazine and Easy Food.
Myers also owned several homes. In 2017, he sold his 7-bedroom Victorian home in Barrow, Cumbria for a massive £525,000. Then in 2018, he sold his 6-bedroom house in the same place for £1.3M.
The TV chef also owned a property in Rodmersham, in Sittingbourne, which has been valued at over £1M. Finally, Myers owned a 4-bedroom flat in Burton-on-Trent, which has been valued at £780,000, as per Daily Mail.
How did Dave Myers’ career start?
Before becoming a household name, Dave Myers worked as a television makeup artist for several years. The two friends first met in 1995, but it wasn’t until 2004 that Dave and Simon pitched the idea for their own TV show, as per The Guardian.
Myers and King, who was a locations manager for the Harry Potter films, pitched the idea of a TV show that focuses on motorbikes and food to the BBC. as per The Guardian, Myers said:
It was midlife crisis time and you can’t have more of a midlife crisis than going off on a motorbike.
The duo’s first episode of The Hairy Bikers’ Cookbookaired in 2006 and saw the friends riding through Namibia. After their first series, Myers and King had spin-off series, including The Hairy Bikers’ Food Tour of Britain (2009), The Hairy Bikers: Mums Know Best (2010), The Hairy Bikers’ Mississippi Adventure (2012) and The Hairy Bikers’ Asian Adventure (2014).
