The first was about Victoria Beckham claiming that she was working class even though her father drove her to school on a Bentley. The second was about David’s alleged affair with Rebecca Loos.

However, whatever the controversy was that surrounded their Netflix special documentary, it made it a hit. And though the docu-series humanised and made the Beckhams relatable, there is still something about them that no one can achieve: their wealth and success.
Study - David and Victoria are the most successful family in sport
A study conducted by Spin Genie, a UK slots site, revealed that David and Victoria are at the head of the most successful sporting family. To conduct this research the site looked at several categories including: ‘sporting achievements, net worth, social following and online searches’.
On top of the list the Beckhams get a ‘9.33/10’. Very close behind are the Williams, Serena and Venus with a ‘9,15/10’. So what made the slight difference? According to Spin Genie what put the Beckhams at the top is the fact that:
They have the highest combined net worth of any sporting family, at an estimated C$626 million (US$455 million/ £373 million).
Moreover, Spin Genie points out that the Beckhams are ‘a household name in the realm of celebrities’. Of course Venus and Serena Williams are also incredibly famous but they don’t have the same status as the Beckhams. The Beckhams also enjoy the highest number of followers on social media.
The list goes on to include other sporting families such as and in order, the Mayweathers, the Cyrrys, the Lampards and the Redknapps.
David Beckham is the most successful family member
Spin Genie’s research also reveals that David Beckham is the most successful family member in a sporting family. Indeed, as the website points out, Beckham has ‘won 17 trophies and honours during his football career, including six Premier League titles, two FA Cup wins and a win in the Spanish La Liga.’
To conduct their research, Spin Genie didn’t include family members who are not involved in sports. That means that when the Beckhams top the list of the highest net worth that doesn’t include Victoria’s income as part of the Spice Girls and the money she is making as a highly successful fashion designer.
