Declan Donnelly’s new purchase
Daily Mail reports that presenter Declan Donnelly ‘splashed a whopping £2.25million’ on a property which is right next door to his London home.
The tabloid explains that the property had been abandoned and become ‘an eyesore’. This led to Donnelly and his wife purchasing the building with plans to renovate.
The Sun spoke to a source who said:
Most people would have to live with seeing it go to rack and ruin but Dec has taken the initiative and snapped it up when it came on the market.
The front has already been secured and boarded up ready for the rebuild and the planning application has gone in. And if it’s a patch on Dec’s place when it’s done, it’ll be a terrific investment.
Daily Mail specifies that at the moment it is unclear if Donnelly will be keeping the property once it’s renovated or if he will choose to sell it.
Declan Donnelly’s other properties
As pointed out by the source speaking to The Sun, not everyone gets to buy a property next to their house just because the sight of it hurts them. But having money comes with perks.
The property which Donnelly and his wife already own is situated in Chiswick, London. The house is often called a mansion and is reported to be worth £7 million. According to Hello! the house includes a gym and Daily Mail reports that it also benefits from ‘a cinema, swimming pool, steam room and poolside kitchen.’
In August 2023, Hello! wrote that his updated net worth was believed to be around £62 million with £10 million in properties.
