The hack was carried out by a group which claims to have been behind the leak of actress Chloe Grace Moretz’s photographs and the hacking of Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey’s account. The Blast reported that Demi’s team acted quickly to remove the images soon after they went live on Snapchat.
Fans have taken to Twitter to support Demi and slam people who are spreading the images or making light of the situation. One wrote: ‘What part of demi Lovato is a real human w/ real thoughts, feelings, & emotions do people not understand? I feel so bad. Demi I’m so sorry. We’ve been reporting all night. I love you. Always. No matter what. I’ve been behind you since 2009 I’m here forever #RespectDemiLovato’.
Demi was previously hit by hackers in March 2017, when they shared another private photo of her online. Then, Demi responded in a decisive fashion, showing hackers she wouldn’t let them get to her, writing: ‘I love how everyone’s freaking out about one picture. It’s not nude and it’s just cleavage. Besides the world has seen me nude BY CHOICE before..'
In this clap-back, Demi made reference to her 2015 Vanity Fair photoshoot in which she posed undressed and make-up free. Whilst Demi is yet to respond to this latest hack, we hope that she will have the same attitude this time. Meanwhile, her fans are here to support her and condemn the hackers.
