Drea de Matteo announced the creation of her account in an Instagram story in August 2023. On the platform on which she shares suggestive photos, she offers uncensored content for a subscription fee of 15 dollars a month. Her page opens with a close-up of her cleavage. Talking to Mail Online on 29 February 2024, the actress opened up about her decision to join the platform as well as how it impacted her life.
In her interview, de Matteo, explains that joining OnlyFans was life changing:
It saved us, OnlyFans saved my life, 100 per cent. I can't believe I'm saying that, but it really did save us.
She explained that the decision to join the platform wasn't an easy one but that she felt she had no other choice.
They put me into foreclosure and my house had flooded, so I was trying to sell the house quickly. I wanted to try and sell it before they took it.
At the same time, I lost my mom, and my other mom, who has dementia, had run out of money for her caregiver. I didn't know which way was up.

Thanks to OnlyFans, Drea de Matteo was able to save her house but also launch a business: ULTRAFREE which is a brand on streetwear.

Before joining the cast of Desperate Housewives, Drea de Matteo made a name for herself in the hit drama series The Sopranos, between 1999 and 2006. She played Adriana La Cerva, one of the characters. Her breakthrough came when she won an Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Television Drama Series.
The creation of her OnlyFans account comes just a few weeks after her childhood home in Whitestone, located in East Hampton, Queens, was put up for sale for just under $6 million. The platform launched in 2016 and quickly gained notoriety. Other celebrities have also decided to create an account, including Cardi B, Bella Thorne, Tyga and Chris Brown.
