Donald Trump slimmed down
Americans have noticed former President Donald Trump's massive weight loss, which has led to many questions. Is he on Wegovy, the new obesity treatment en vogue? In a letter made public, his physician, Dr. Bruce Aronwald, claims that Donald Trump is 'in excellent health', and that he has 'reduced his weight through improved diet and daily physical activity'.
In January, the politician was asked by Fox News about the method that led to his weight loss, and he replied:
The hard way. I'm so busy that I don't have the opportunity to eat much.
According to the New York Post, his wife Melania Trump is behind his weight loss, forcing him to eat more healthily.
Drastic diets in the United States
For several months now, many American celebrities have been adopting a new drastic medicated diet. Indeed, many of them are using injections of Ozempic, a treatment normally reserved for diabetics, as well as its counterpart Wegovy, a supposedly revolutionary treatment for obesity.
This drug, marketed since 2021 in the United States, is also available in the UK since 4 September 2023, according to the British Heart Foundation:
It is approved for use in the NHS alongside diet and physical activity to manage excess weight and obesity in some people.
