The two men reportedly competed over who would get together with Princess Diana before her untimely death in 1997, according to a political expert. Here's what you should know.
Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein reportedly fought over Princess Diana
Political expert Michael Wolff is mostly famous for his trilogy of books on the time Donald Trump spent at the White House entitled Fire and Fury, Siege: Trump under Fire and Landslide. He recently revealed that one of his sources when writing his first book had been 'Trump's old friend Jeffrey Epstein'. On Thursday, 31 October 2024, Michael Wolff made new claims about the presidential candidate during the 22nd episode of his podcast, co-hosted by former Condé Nast editor James Truman, entitled Fire and Fury. The author reveals a supposed close relationship between convicted sex-offender Jeffrey Epstein and former president Donald Trump, which had been kept under wraps so far. Michael Wolff said:
I probably have one hundred hours of Epstein talking about the inner workings of the Trump White House and about his long-standing, deep relationship with Donald Trump.
He even described the two powerful men as 'two playboys very much styling themselves as playboys in that [Hugh] Hefner sense who palled around for the better part of 15 years'. To everyone's surprise, Michael Wolff suddenly brought up the late Princess Diana in the conversation, saying:
I mean, there was one point in which they had a competition about who would be the first one who would sleep with Princess Diana. Now, I don't think that ever happened.
Donald Trump's entourage has not responded to the allegations yet, and Sarah Huckabee Sanders, a former White House secretary under the Trump presidency, even said that Michael Wolff's books contained 'mistake after mistake after mistake'.
Charles Spencer reveals what his sister thought of Donald Trump
This is not the first time Princess Diana has been linked to Donald Trump. In 1997, the year she passed away in a brutal car accident, Donald Trump told Howard Stern that he 'could have had sex' with the late Princess. In March 2023, the former president wrote on Twitter (now X) that the late Princess had wanted to 'kiss his a**'—a claim that has been vehemently denied by her brother, Charles Spencer. The Earl took to his social media to clear his sister's name in the ordeal. He wrote:
Surprised to hear that Donald Trump is apparently claiming that my late sister Diana wanted to ‘kiss his a***’, since the one time she mentioned him to me – when he was using her good name to sell some real estate in New York – she clearly viewed him as worse than an anal fissure.
