Donald Trump’s hush money case
As per The Independent, former President Donald Trump was found guilty on all 34 felony counts of falsifying business records. The trial was linked to an election conspiracy, which involved covering up a $130,000 payment to Stormy Daniels, an adult film star, during the 2016 presidential election campaign.
Donald Trump, who has made some bizarre comments about his daughters, is the first US president to be convicted of a crime, as per BBC. Throughout the trial, Trump repeatedly claimed that it was rigged and politically motivated.
As reported by BBC, Donald Trump is still facing several other charges in three separate criminal cases, which includes a Georgia case, where he has been accused of ‘conspiring to overturn his narrow defeat by President Joe Biden in the state during the 2020 election’. This case is being appealed.
Moreover, in a case in Florida, Trump is facing a federal case over his alleged ‘mishandling of classified documents’. Currently, the trial has been postponed indefinitely.
Donald Trump has a campaign website
As many know, Donald Trump is running for President once again. The businessman has set up a campaign website, with the following statement:
THEY’RE NOT AFTER ME, THEY’RE AFTER YOU…I’M JUST STANDING IN THE WAY!
On the home page of the campaign site, Trump claims that the American Way of Life is ‘under attack’ and he plans to take back the country from ‘the corrupt Washington establishment’ while returning the ‘power’ to the people.
Through the website, people can buy ‘Trump merch’ from sunhats with ‘Make America Great Again’ on them to mugs with Trump’s mugshot on them with ‘Never surrender!’ on them. Trump supporters can also buy T-shirts and drink coolers.
Moreover, supporters can donate various amounts. As per the MAGA site, there are incentives for people to donate. For the $20.24 donation, it says:
Click this amount if you’re supporting president Trump in 2024.
While for the $47 donation, it says:
Donate this amount if you think Donald J. Trump is the greatest president of all time!
Supporters can donate $100, $250, $500, $1,000 or $3,300 at a simple click of a button or choose their own amount with the ‘other’ option. At the bottom of the donation options, it explains that the donations will ‘benefit Trump National Committee JFC'.
There is also a box supporters can check if they would like to ‘cover the processing fee’, which means that ‘100%’ of their donation goes to the Trump National Committee JFC.
Moreover, as you scroll through the campaign website, there are several statements claiming that the trial was rigged:
𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐈𝐃𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐓𝐑𝐔𝐌𝐏: 𝐈 𝐖𝐈𝐋𝐋 𝐍𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑 𝐒𝐔𝐑𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐑! 𝐀 𝐑𝐈𝐆𝐆𝐄𝐃 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐭 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐦𝐞, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐩𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐟 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐭𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐮𝐬 𝐁𝐀𝐂𝐊 𝐈𝐍 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐖𝐇𝐈𝐓𝐄 𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐒𝐄! 𝐂𝐚𝐧 𝐈 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭? 𝐇𝐄𝐋𝐏 𝐔𝐒 𝐌𝐀𝐊𝐄 𝐇𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐘! 𝐈 𝐜𝐚𝐧’𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐧 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮!
