It isn’t surprising that Donald Trump chose to have a large family, as he grew up in a similar way. Indeed, the businessman has four siblings. Sadly, three out of four of his siblings have passed away at various points in his life.
His only living sibling is Elizabeth Trump Grau, who, unlike her brother, prefers to lead a quiet life away from the media.
Who is Elizabeth Trump Grau?
Since Elizabeth Trump Grau prefers to keep away from the spotlight, not much is known about her. As reported by People, Elizabeth was born in Queens in 1942. She attended Southern Seminary College in Virginia and then allegedly worked as an administrative assistant at Chase Manhattan Bank in New York, according to The New York Times.
In March 1989, Elizabeth married James Grau, a TV and film producer. According to The Sun, the wedding was officiated by Elizabeth’s sister, Maryanne. The couple does not have children and are now retired, living in Florida.
Speaking about his sister, Donald Trump described her as ‘kind and bright but less ambitious’ in Trump: The Art of the Deal.
Despite choosing a quiet life, Elizabeth has been embroiled in some scandals. Indeed, as per The Sun, in November 2020, Elizabeth was in the spotlight due to a fake X (formerly Twitter) account posing as her.
‘Elizabeth’ tweeted that she supported her brother and his claims that he won the 2020 election. The scandal was amplified when Donald responded to the tweet. As per The Sun, the fake account was called Betty Trump and had a photo of Elizabeth.
The account tweeted:
This election inspired me to break my silence and speak out on behalf of my family. My brother Don won this election and will fight this to the very end. We’ve always been a family of fighters.
When the scandal broke out, Elizabeth refused to comment. She did the same when her niece, Mary Trump, who has been critical of her uncle Donald, published a memoir.
