Donald Trump is going viral for his 'clown shoes'
During his meeting with Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Donald Trump wore his usual attire, consisting of a dark suit, this time navy blue, and a red tie, as always. However, the president's dark and shiny shoes were the ones to make headlines. In new images, which are circulating on social media, Donald Trump's shoes appear to be extremely long and crooked. These made Internet users react almost immediately. Several comments are mocking the president's looks, saying:
Spotted during Friday’s infamous meeting with Zelensky/bullying session: Trump’s shoe, with lift, is also a few sizes too large. This is done to make his feet look proportional with his weight/height.

While many Internet users had a field day laughing at the pictures, others claimed they were 'fake', 'photoshopped', or even rendered by artificial intelligence. According to the Daily Mail, the pictures are said to be 'obviously photoshopped', although there has been no confirmation, nor denial, of this information.

Donald Trump's controversial fashion choices
This is not the first time Donald Trump has gone viral for his looks. Indeed, many fans noticed the businessman-turned-politician is often seen wearing extremely long ties.
The red tie has been a key element of his looks since he became the Republican leader, but why are they so long? Well, according to The Cut, this was a decision made by his fashion advisors, to make Donald Trump appear thinner. Chris Christie, a former New Jersey governor, explained that in 2016, the president told him to wear longer ties to look thinner, a principle he seems to have applied to himself. Donald Trump also told Chris Christie to lose weight on several occasions, as the latter explains in his memoir entitled Let Me Finish. In 2005, while the two men were having dinner, Donald Trump reportedly told Chris Christie: 'you gotta look better to be able to win'.
Fashion experts seem to disagree with the 47th president. Indeed, a man's tie should fall right in the middle of one's waistband, or belt. Wearing a longer tie means you are more at risk of catching the fabric in your zip when you go the bathroom. It also means it can fly off more easily when the weather is windy, as we have seen it happen to Donald Trump over the years.
