Donald Trump's wild remarks about Justin Trudeau
As the Mirror reports, Donald Trump is said to have revived old rumours about the Canadian prime minister and his mother, which have long since been debunked by the Canadian government. In his new book, the former president reportedly said of Trudeau:
They say he's the son of Fidel Castro and could be.
Apparently, Donald Trump is so preoccupied with the made-up story that he has revisited it in his own book. The Daily Mail reportedly has got their hands on some excerpts from the book, which is said to state:
His mother was beautiful and wild. In the 1970s, she would go 'clubbing' with the Rolling Stones, but she was also somehow associated with Fidel Castro. She said he was 'the sexiest man I've ever met', and a lot of people say that Justin is his son.
Donald Trump then claims to see a resemblance between the Canadian PM and the controversial Cuban revolutionary. He explains:
He swears he isn't, but how the hell would he know! Castro had good hair, the 'father' didn't, Justin has good hair, and he has become a Communist, just like Castro.
His claims have been debunked
A few years ago, Donald Trump appeared to take a conspicuous interest in the love life of Justin Trudeau's mother, Margaret. According to a report by the Independent, Stephanie Grisham, who once worked in the White House, reported in her memoirs that Donald Trump had said Justin Trudeau's mother had slept with all the members of the Rolling Stones.
Mick Jagger commented on the allegation by saying, among other things:
This is really embarrassing. It's simply not true.
The claim that Fidel Castro could be Justin Trudeau's father was also debunked a long time ago. The Associated Press wrote about this back in 2018:
A story claiming that Fidel Castro was the father of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is not true. The Canadian government denied it, Cuba has never claimed it and Trudeau’s parents never visited Cuba until several years after Justin Trudeau was born.
It is therefore unclear why Donald Trump felt compelled to revive old rumours.
