Since then the two have been spotted together in public on multiple occasions. Recently the couple went on a romantic getaway to Paris and Katie has been spotted wearing a huge ring on her ring finger, sparking engagement rumours.

Katie Alexander was recently photographed sporting a glittering ring on her engagement finger while on a romantic trip to Paris with Eamonn. The Sun published photos of Katie and Eamonn outside the Louvre last week and their loved-up demeanour didn’t go unnoticed. In the photos, Katie wore a sparkling ring that gathered a lot of attention.
According to sources, Eamonn has been openly telling friends about his plans to marry Katie, stating he’s ready to spend the rest of his life with her. An unnamed source said:
Eamonn has been talking openly about his plans to marry Katie and has made it clear he wants to spend the rest of his life with her.
They’re already living together and he knows it feels right. They have a very strong connection and get on very well. She has given him a real lust for life and she looks after him.
Even on-lookers told the publication that the two appeared to be ‘very loved-up’ and Katie was seen ‘fussing over him’ and he had a ‘big smile on his face.’
Soon after this, a friend close to Ruth shared that she’s finding it ‘hard’ to see and read all these updates about Katie and Eamonn’s relationship. The pal said:
Eamonn and Ruth are still in the process of getting divorced, which has been tough for Ruth. It’ll be a hard pill to swallow to see Eamonn parading his new girlfriend around Paris with a ring, especially as he’s still wearing his wedding ring.
Ruth’s kept her head held high and focused on work, but his public romance is still difficult.

Eamonn and Katie’s relationship timeline has been nothing short of intriguing. Their connection dates back to a Twitter exchange in 2015, years before Eamonn’s split from Ruth. However, the friendship reportedly deepened over the last year, with Eamonn lavishing Katie with gifts and outings before making their romance official, reports Mirror.
In May 2024, Eamonn and Ruth announced their separation after 28 years together, and Eamonn wasted no time moving forward. By September, he and Katie were seen together on a Mediterranean cruise, sparking initial rumours of their romance.
The two soon moved in together and Eamonn now plans to move out of his current home as it’s ‘too small’ and doesn't offer the lovebirds enough privacy.
