Holmes used to host This Morning with his wife, Ruth Langsford on Fridays for 15 years. However, in 2020, it was announced that the couple would no longer be hosting Friday mornings, instead, they were replaced by Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond.
Amid the Schofield scandal, Eamonn Holmes has been speaking his mind a lot on GB News, the latest is him revealing the reason he thinks he was fired from ITV’s This Morning.
Eamonn Holmes was fired in 2020
Eamonn Holmes and his wife, Ruth Langsford hosted Fridays on This Morning for 15 years but were let go in 2020. In a rather explosive interview with GB News, Holmes reveals he was fired from the show after he questioned the link between 5G and Covid-19.
According to Holmes, he had simply said it was okay to question the narrative and was curious as to why ‘mainstream media’ had shut down the link between 5G and Covid-19.
Soon after that episode, Ofcom was bombarded with complaints from viewers, indeed the show had received over 750 complaints.
In his interview, Holmes explains that he was fired ‘without warning’ and that ITV bosses ‘didn't care’ what happened to him.
They weren't kind when they tossed me out of the door and didn't care where I was going.
Eamonn claims that he 'wasn't found guilty of anything’ despite there allegedly being ‘a political element’.
Holmes reiterated the sentence that allegedly got him fired:
I said, 'You should always be free to question the narrative.'
