Elon Musk is the father of at least thirteen children, possibly fourteen. His oldest daughter, Vivian Jenna Wilson, has got an extremely strained relationship with her father, and she frequently slams his views and decisions on social media. While she is usually very discreet, and doesn't appear in public, Vivian has agreed to open up during an interview with Teen Vogue.

Vivian Jenna Wilson reveals how her parents reacted to her coming out
Vivian has chosen to speak out about being transgender in today's society, in the hope that her testimony can help other trans teenagers. She recounts the moment something clicked for her, and she felt the need to come out. She says:
There was one night, it was 11:00 p.m., and I was like, I know for a fact I am trans. I had known for a few months at that point, and I was like, I cannot f**king do this anymore. [...] If I stay in the closet anymore, this is going to take me down a very destructive path.
Her parents, Justine Wilson and Elon Musk, had very different reactions to their daughter's coming out. Indeed, Vivian explains her mother was very supportive, as she told Teen Vogue:
When I came out to her, she was like, 'Yeah, that figures'. She kind of [pieced it together], so when I came out, she pretended to be slightly surprised for 30 seconds and then was like, 'Yeah, honey. Okay'.
However, the news did not go down well with her father, known for his extreme anti-trans views. Despite having been estranged from her father for months, Vivian explains she still needed his approval to start gender-affirming therapy:
No, he was not as supportive as my mom. First of all, I had not talked to him in months — in months — so I had to get f**king parental consent to get testosterone blockers and [hormone replacement therapy].
Vivian was then asked about her relationship with her (many) siblings, some of whom she found out about online. She told Teen Vogueshe is not in touch with most of her father's side of the family:
I don't keep up with that side of the family because… I don't. My mom doesn't really either. She's divorced, werk. So yeah. I don't really give a f**k what they do. This is not my problem, okay? I've seen X once, when he was very little.
'Do you ever feel scared?'
Vivian Jenna Wilson, who now lives abroad, was also asked if she feels scared about her father's political and social impact. She responded truthfully, saying:
He's a pathetic man-child. Why would I feel scared of him? Ohhh, he has so much power. Nah, nah, nah. I don't give a f**k. Why should I be scared of this man? Because he's rich? Oh, no, I'm trembling. Ooh, shivering in my boots here. I don't give a f**k how much money anyone has.
Vivian also explained she does not want to be linked to her father any more, as he is not a presence in her life at all. She said:
I don't give a f**k about him. I really don't. It's annoying that people associate me with him. I just don't have any room to care anymore.
