Aphasia is a language disorder which alters the speech of the individual, as they struggle to understand language and communicate. According to the Mayo Clinic, people with aphasia may struggle to find the right words, replace incorrect words, or talk in short, difficult-to-understand phrases. Even with speech treatment, certain communication abilities can be regained, but not to the extent that they were before to the injury.

Here are three Hollywood celebrities who suffer from the language and communication disorder, aphasia.
Bruce Willis
Willis is best recognized for his role as John McClane in the renowned action franchise Die Hard, and other Hollywood blockbusters over the course of his more than 40-year career in the film industry.
Yesterday his family informed the fans in a statement that Willis will now step away from his career in Hollywood:
This is a really challenging time for our family and we are so appreciative of your continued love, compassion and support.
We are moving through this as a strong family unit, and wanted to bring his fans in because we know how much he means to you, as you do to him.
Ex-wife and revered actress, Demi Moore says:

Emilia Clarke
Emilia Clarke has become a house hold name after starring in the drama franchise,Game of Thrones (GoT), adopted from RR Martin's books.
In 2011, shortly after finishing season one of Game of Thrones, she suffered an aneurysm, that caused a stroke, which prompted brain surgery. She was then diagnosed with aphasia.

I was suffering from a condition called aphasia, a consequence of the trauma my brain had suffered.
Sharon Stone
Sharon Stone, the famous American actress and producer on film and television, is most known for the roles as femme fatales and women of mystery.
Sharon Stone also happens to be the victim of aphasia. She revealed to ABC newsthat she has now become more 'emotionally intelligent' thanks to her journey.
Stone expresses:
I came home from that stroke stuttering, couldn't read for two years. It's been a humbling journey: I was on Law & Order, and I had a hard time with my lines.
I can talk about it now because I'm OK now, I feel really good about talking and having my full vocabulary.
