Hugo Hammond was one of the most controversial figures in this year’s Love Island villa. Although he started out as a fan favourite, support for him started to wane when he seemed to turn down every girl who made a move on him—from AJ Bunker and Sharon Gaffka to Georgia Townend and Amy Day. Hugo’s ‘club rat’ behaviour
In an interview with OK! Magazine, AJ Bunker said:
We went on a night out with some of the cast the other week, and Hugo was on his phone the whole time. He didn't give us the time of day... He was kissing everyone. He was being a club rat in front of me, Georgia and Amy. It's like, OK, you didn't want any of us girls but you'll go for some girl you met ten seconds ago in a club.
Hugo on Love Island Reunion
Meanwhile, on Sunday night’s Love Island Reunion show, Hugo was faced with an awkward interview alongside AJ, Amy, Georgia and Sharon—the four girls he rejected on the show. He had already been through an awkward showdown with Amy on After Sun a few weeks ago.

I think because he didn't reach out to show any remorse or understanding, I didn't go on there expecting to be so fiery, it was just almost the first time I had spoken to him, so...
Faced with the four girls on the reunion show, Hugo said:
As I say, I'll say it again... I left with no regrets. I was just being me, it didn't work out unfortunately. It's a bit weird sitting here now with all four next to me... it doesn't happen to many guys I imagine... Nothing against these girls, they are all fantastic and lovely, such a shame it didn't work out.
