Judges Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean, Ashley Banjo, and Oti Mabuse, and hosts Holly Willoughby and Stephen Mulhernwho came back together as the presenting duo last year—are navigating the new series that began on January 12.

As of the latest episode, a second celebrity has already been evicted from the show.

Ferne McCann ‘humiliated’ to leave Dancing on Ice

In a surprising turn during movie night, TOWIE star Ferne McCann became the second contestant to leave the show. Paired with professional skater Brendyn Hatfield, Ferne delivered a vibrant Trolls-themed routine.

Despite their spirited performance, the duo found themselves in the bottom two alongside actress Charlie Brooks. Due to a massive format change this year, Ferne was eliminated without the opportunity for a skate-off.

Naturally, the 34-year-old was ‘humiliated’ to be leaving the show in its early stages and that too on a night when she was dressed like a troll. A source told The Sun:

She had a meltdown in front of everyone after coming off the ice backstage. Ferne kept saying ‘this doesn’t make sense’ and ‘it wasn’t meant to be like this.’
She couldn’t understand how she didn’t get the votes - despite having the most followers online.

Adding:

It was made even worse that she was voted out on the night she was dressed like a troll. She feels humiliated.

Who else has left Dancing on Ice so far?

The unforgiving ice rink has already claimed two celebrity casualties before Ferne. Hollyoaks star Chelsee Healey and partner Andy Buchanan were the first to be eliminated on January 19 without a skate-off after receiving the least amount of judges' scores and viewer votes combined, reports The Sun.

After her exit, she posted two videos on her Instagram explaining how she felt during her time on the show. She shared:

I have had a lot to deal with…

Meanwhile, many fans complained about the format change that made her leave the show without a skate-off. One said:

This is a rigged joke, There were five skating tonight, six last week, the percentages are all rigged. Chelsee has been done over.

After Chelsee, comedian Josh Jones was forced to quit the show following an injury during the rehearsals. According to the BBC, he was supposed to perform alongside partner Tippy Packard in the third episode but had to withdraw after suffering a twisted ankle. DOI’s social media channels said:

Josh and Tippy's partnership will be greatly missed. We will be helping to support Josh and wish him well with his recovery.
