After accusations of sexual, physical and emotional abuse came out on Friday by FKA Twigs about then-boyfriend Shia Labeouf, new reports are emerging corroborating her allegations.

In the interview with the New York Times, the 32-year-old singer claims that her relationship with Laboeuf was:
The worst thing I’ve ever been through in the whole of my life.
And goes on to explain how hard it was for her to escape the toxicity of a relationship when one is in the public eye. Especially more so when the perpetrator is a white male with power and the one making the allegations is a person of colour.
I just thought to myself, ‘No one is ever going to believe me.’ I’m unconventional. And I’m a person of colour who is a female.
Serious charges against Labeouf
Police reports state that Twigs endured physical and verbal assault as well as suicide threats if she didn't comply to his every demands. The lawsuit also states that LaBeouf knowingly infected Barnett with a sexually transmitted disease.

Twigs said she intended to donate any monetary damages that she would gain if she won her lawsuit to domestic violence charities. The singer hopes to have inspired other survivors of abusive relationships to share their stories and bring justice where it is due.
