Former Real Madrid player Vinicius Tobias found himself at the centre of a shocking personal revelation after tattooing the name of a child he believed to be his daughter. Tobias had been in a relationship with social media influencer Ingrid Lima when she became pregnant. Although the couple eventually parted ways, Tobias remained involved in Lima’s pregnancy, assuming the child was his.

To celebrate the arrival of his ‘first child’, Tobias even had her name—Maite—tattooed on his arm. He also included the phrase ‘Te Amo’, meaning ‘I love you’ in Portuguese, to declare his love for the newborn.

However, his world was turned upside down when he learned that he was not actually the father of the child.

Vinicius Tobias’ baby drama: An awkward tattoo

After giving birth, Tobias' ex-girlfriend Lima made the difficult decision to come clean, according to reports by MailOnline. She took to Instagram, where she has 100,000 plus followers, to announce that Tobias was not the father of the child she had given birth to.

Reportedly, after splitting with Tobias, Lima became involved with another man as she moved on with her life. As a result, she was uncertain about who the child’s father was. The pair eventually decided to conduct a DNA test, which confirmed that Tobias was not Maite’s biological father. In her social media post, Lima wrote:

I came to give a statement about something that is getting annoying and that, unfortunately, I would have to come out on publicly to give you an explanation.
Vinicius and I haven't been together for a while. During that time, I was in a relationship with someone and so was he. We both moved on with our lives. In the meantime, Maite came along.
We decided to do a DNA test, and Maite is not Vinicius' daughter.

The 20-year-old Brazilian footballer has not yet commented on the announcement. Following the revelation, Lima urged people to stop attacking Tobias, reports LADbible. She explained that he did not attend the delivery and did not post anything about Maite until after the test results were confirmed, at her request. She said:

Vinicius and I have already sat down and talked amicably. I wish him the best things in the world, that both can follow their lives in peace.

Who is Vinicius Tobias?

For those unfamiliar with him, Vinicius Tobias is not just any footballer. At 20 years old, he has already made impressive strides in his career. After catching the attention of football scouts, he was signed by popular Ukrainian football club Shakhtar Donetsk in 2022 for £6 million, before moving on loan to Real Madrid.
