From Holly Willoughby to Cillian Murphy, here are the most-fancied people on TV

This is apparently something that is done. We had no idea but it appears that, for the second year in a row, a list of the most fancied celebrities on TV has been established.

The list brought to light by mainstream outlet The Sun is actually created by the blog Slingo. According to them, they have analysed Google searches using key terms such as ‘hot’, ‘sexy’ and ‘calendar’ as well as the time spent on those searches.

At the top of the lists, men and women, we find very familiar faces but the rest of them are quite surprising! Let’s have a look!

Holly Willoughby is the most fancied woman on UK TV

According to Slingo, the This Morning host gathered over 300K searches in the last twelve months placing her at the top. This is the second year that Willoughby ends but being the most fancied ‘Female TV Crushes.

This comes after Holly Willoughby has been caught up in a storm of a year. Indeed, she ended up being deeply impacted by the scandal surrounding her co-host Phillip Schofield. This is sure to have raised her number of searches.

If, like us, the key word ‘calendar’ peaked your interest, we did a little digging and there are indeed multiple calendars of Holly Willoughby available online on Etsy and Amazon.

However, Slingo doesn’t explain how they chose their key words.

Ranking at Number 3 we find another This Morning star, Alison Hammond who collected over 180K searches. Both British women are above the Kardashians and Katie Price who only appears at number 11.

Henry Cavill tops the men’s list

The Superman and The Witcher actor, just like Willoughby tops the most fancied male list for the second year in a row with 266,180K searches. Very close behind, Will Mellor appears on this list with over 250K searches.

The rest of the list is made of expected faces such as Tom Hardy, Ricky Gervais and Cillian Murphy.

James Corden places 6th

The former Late Night host makes a surprise appearance at number 6 placing above Peaky Blinder actor Cillian Murphy and BodyguardRichard Madden.

The place of James Corden in this list, and in the Top 10 is surprising, not because of his looks but because of his lack of popularity. A quick search of his name on X, formerly known as Twitter, will show you that Corden isn’t the most loved UK personality.
