Fate has not been kind to many of the stars of Glee, least of all to Cory Monteith, who played the role of Finn Hudson. On the 13th of July 2013, the actor succumbed, in a Canadian hotel, to a fatal cocktail made up of heroin and champagne, when his career had only just begun.

Fans of Glee were able to say their goodbyes to the actor of the series, as the death of Finn Hudson was built into the plot with particularly poignant scenes which were nonetheless very far from the circumstances of the death of the actor, to which his mother has recently returned.
'She was screaming on the telephone'
Outside of filming, Cory Monteith shared his life with Lea Michele, the heroine of the series. On the 13th of July, she started to worry about her partner, and so immediately called Ann McGregor, Cory’s mother.
After being contacted by People, Ann explained that she learnt of her son’s death from Lea Michele’s panicked words.
'She called me, she was screaming on the telephone: ‘Is it true? Is it true about Cory?’ So, I asked what happened to him. And then the police knocked on my door…' shared Ann McGregor with the American magazine, reliving the awful events that no parent should ever have to live through.
