Harry Styles' stalker sent him 8000 cards in less than one month
The former One Direction singer recently received over 8000 cards in less than a month from one of his fans - Myra Carvalho. Myra’s love for Harry turned immensely dangerous when she started stalking the singer. According to MailOnline, the Don’t Worry Darling actor was left ‘shaken’ by Myra's actions after she was charged with causing him serious harm or distress.
A source revealed:
Harry was really shaken up. He had spent the start of the month in Anguilla with Taylor and James Corden and he'd had a great break.
The 30-year-old recently returned from a romantic Caribbean getaway with his actress girlfriend Taylor Russell. The source added:
This happened not long after he had come back. Harry just wants to carry on as normal, but this has been concerning.
The women sent 8000 cards in less than a month - some hand-delivered and some through a third-party company online. These cards included love letters expressing her sexual urges, and wedding cards demonstrating the intensity and disturbing nature of Myra’s fixation on Harry, reports PinkVilla. Speaking in court in February - the first time the court heard her plea - prosecutor Alejandra Llorente Tascon said:
This defendant has travelled all the way from Brazil, and has frequently and to an extremely intense nature [harassed Styles] by sending over 8,000 cards and describing sexual urges towards him.
She has a partner [in Brazil]... It also causes great concern to the complainant. She hand-delivered letters and wedding cards.
Myra has now been jailed and banned from seeing Harry - who changed the men’s fashion game forever - performing.
Who is Myra Carvalho - the woman who stalked Harry Styles?
The 35-year-old is from Brazil and has been living in the UK since December 2023 without informing her family. She has a partner in Brazil and her doctor in Brazil stated that she was suffering from a ‘manic episode.’
Myra appeared at Harrow Crown Court sitting at Hendon Magistrates’ Court in London and was sentenced to 14 weeks’ imprisonment after pleading guilty to a charge of stalking involving serious alarm or distress. A restraining order has been imposed on her lasting 10 years and she is banned from attending any event where Harry Styles might be performing.
The accused had been staying at a backpacker hostel in Kensington and Chelsea, southwest London. She was also ordered not to contact Harry Styles - who sold his ‘luxe treehouse’ - directly or indirectly. Court officials added that Myra has been told not to enter an area of northwest London which was described in the court and was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £134.
