Details of his terrible mugging
Harry Styles was invited onto Howard Stern’s radio show and it seems he had a lot to say about the past few weeks. On the show, the singer opened up for the first time about the terrible robbery he was a victim of last month in London.
’They’ve all got like hoods up and their faces covered […] They guys cross the road and, I’m like, ‘Oh, that’s weird.’’
When the group started to follow him, he quickly realised that the men were up to something. After first offering the star some marijuana, which Harry refused, they asked him if he had any valuables on him.
‘I had some cash in my pocket, so I said, ‘Have some cash,’ and I pull out some cash and he takes it from me.’
But the guys also demanded the singer’s phone, as Styles added.
‘And then the guy’s like, ‘Unlock your phone.’ The other one pulls his shirt up and he’s got a knife sticking in his pants.' Fortunately, a car then pulled up and the singer saw his chance to make a run for it. He ran as fast as he could and eventually managed to escape his pursuers.
What happened with Taylor and Adele?
The singer also opened up to Howard Stern about his love life. He only had positive things to say about his ex Taylor Swift who he was within 2012/13, but their fling was apparently nothing more than a flirtation. Nevertheless, Taylor later drew inspiration from this fling and wrote songs about their love affair including Out of the Woods and Style. Harry reveals that he takes this as a huge compliment:
‘I think about what it means to me to write a song about somebody else and, if somebody has to do that, I think it’s like flattering. Even if the song isn’t that flattering, you’ve still spent time on it and, ultimately, using Taylor as an example, she’s a great songwriter.’
Harry also opened up about Adele and his Caribbean holiday when the pair were spotted together on the island of Anguilla over New Year. But Harry has revealed that he and Adele are just good friends. Find out what else he had to say about these dating rumours in the video above.
