'She had so much love to give'
In a post on Instagram, the 25-year-old published a set of pictures showing him from a young age with his then-puppy growing up alongside her accompanied by a heartfelt message. He wrote:
Today is a sad day in the Hammond house as we said farewell to our perfect choccy lab, Mocha. She had so much love to give and just loved being near people. Although, the worst guard dog ever as she never barked.
He went on to explain that the dog divided her attention equally to all four members of the family by cuddling up with them at their feet. Hammond explained:
She always sat on the stairs in the strangest way, it always made me laugh. In the evenings she would do the rounds between all 4 of us and cuddle up on our feet or poke her little nose on our laps, she was so loved.

Always there to cheer him up
He ended the post by sharing how she was always there for him when he needed her most—whether that was during the good times or the bad times. Hammond explained how Mocha always had the ability to cheer him up when he was feeling down. He said:
Mostly, I’ll just miss having my best friend around for a chat and a cuddle. The good days, the bad days (there have been plenty), she knew when I was sad and was still there wagging her tail letting me know everything is going to be ok and for that, I’ll never be more grateful. I’ll miss you choccy, rest easy pup x.
